Car Battery Replacement & Fitting in Leicester

If your car’s slow to start, the stop-start has stopped doing its thing, or you’ve needed a jump-start more than once, the battery is often the reason.

At The Motor Company, we do battery tests in Leicester, checking the charging system, then supply and fit the right replacement for your car (this includes AGM/EFB batteries for start-stop vehicles).

Book in today and we’ll get it sorted. We’ve got 390+ reviews on Google, so you can see what local drivers say before you book.

A quick battery check beats guessing

Batteries rarely fail out of nowhere. Usually it’s small signs first: slower cranking, lights dipping, odd warnings, stop-start switching itself off.

That’s why we start with testing. If the battery’s weak, we’ll show you. If the battery’s fine and the alternator or connections are the issue, you’ll know that too.

Battery supply and fit

Once we’ve confirmed what your car needs, we’ll fit the correct battery and tidy up the details that make a difference long-term, we’ll secure terminals, clean connections, the right spec for the vehicle. Some newer cars need a battery reset/registration after fitting. If your car needs that, we can do that too.

Start-stop batteries: AGM and EFB

Start-stop cars usually need AGM or EFB batteries, not a standard battery. Putting the wrong type in can lead to repeat problems and stop-start refusing to work properly. We’ll match the battery to your car’s requirements, so it starts properly and behaves as it should.

How long does it take?

If there’s no other problem than the need for battery replacement, it’s done in minutes. Some cars hide the battery under trims, under a seat, or in the boot, so access can add time, but it’s still a quick one. We’ll tell you what to expect before we start work.
